Slacker Mom...

Gabe lost another tooth yesterday at school - and I forgot to play tooth fairy! I usually stay up late at night doing my own thing. I was so tired last night, I snuggled down shortly after the kids went to bed, and playing tooth fairy didn't even cross my mind! Now, mind you, Gabe knows who the real fairy is, but still expects his payment. So this morning he comes running up the stairs with his tooth in hand, and says, "Mom, you forgot." Oops.

I AM SO GLAD that someone else is a slacker tooth fairy. We always used to forget. LOL! Now my kids just go, "Here is my tooth, can I have my money?" LOL! They know it won't be under their pillow in the morning if they wait :)

When I forget, Mary just asks me to add it to her allowance owed her.

Ah, you're not a slacker, just human. At least Gabe knows. I still have to deal with the subterfuge with Jaren. In fact, the last tooth he lost, I forgot until he had woken up. I grabbed a couple of bucks and ran into his room. He was getting so distressed because he couldn't find any money. He was afraid the tooth fairy forgot. So I casually dropped the money on the floor by his bed and then suggested that perhaps the money fell out while he was asleep (which, thankfully, is what also happened to the tooth). He looked under the bed and all was well. Moms just have to be quick on their feet!

6 kids for me and now when the youngest loses a tooth, i just say
"here's your dollar" right then and there. no pillow, no fairy dust; i just hand over the cash right then and there and let her keep her tooth then call it good.
i'm a horrible fairy!

I am laughing out loud. That is hilarious!!!

PS: I witnessed an "almost" accident yesterday. I saw that car pull right out in front of you coming out of Country Run. Way to be on your toes & stopping for them. Phew!! That is a scary turn.

imagine this...my girls put a shoe in the window each night before bed expecting Santa's elves to leave a surprise to wake to each day.

Call me the tooth fairy for TWENTY FIVE DAYS in a row. Not to mention coming up with a tiny treat or toy for each girl each night.

no wonder I have a knot in my back as I type this =)

My kids just believed that the tooth fairy always came during the day while they were at school or outside. I was always forgeting at night. Give the kids a hug.
