Going on vacation with my own family last week caused me to reflect on my family vacations growing up. We usually went camping. Here are two family vacation shots - Mt. Rushmore...
And I am almost positive this is to Mount St. Helens. Dad - am I right?
But I really wanted to share these photos with you to document that the big hair thing is NOT MY FAULT! I had no control over it. How long do you think it took to get the hair to look like that??

I love all the different do's! Isn't it funny what we think looks good at one time in our lives. I thought I was rockin' the wardrobe in college, but truth be told I wasn't at all. Love the pics!
so does your hair have natural curl to it or were these big hair days all artificially manufactured?
now that we are parents i think we appreciate more the time money and effort given in effort to provide lasting memories and quality time for us as children.
I am almost 99% positive the 2nd picture is Mt. Saint Helens! I look aweful! I love the sister's hair! Something that we can have a good laugh over! I made the mistake of telling Brylee that Emma is going to be coming to stay! She hasn't stopped asking when!!!!
Your hair was so in style for the times...just remember that. FYI...I just sent an email telling everyone no meeting this Sunday---yeah!
I can't pick you out in the second picture! And the first...that is a do that I haven't seen yet. NICE!
PS: welcome home. we've missed you.
Still lovin' your Flashback Fridays.
as usual..this is amazing!! you should make a post just on your hairdos...
Well, being one of the sisters in the picture, you get this do by spending the night in the back of a truck with a shell with three little sisters!!! LOL!!! Back then you didn't take blow dryers and curling irons you just got by...Trish, at least you had long hair to braid, I think I look the worst!!! Love you!!
I do SO love your flashback pics! :) It makes me happy to know that I am not the only one with a ton of big hair pics.
Oh how I am hating my big hair; who allowed someone to layer my thick, thick hair and then to add insult to injury--add a perm. Oh well, the memories are great--I will always cherish those family vacations.
